IndyCar's IR-28 Chassis Begins Testing

IndyCar's next-generation IR-28 chassis has begun its maiden testing at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway road course, marking a landmark step for the series.

Motorsport.com was among a small group of media outlets granted a first look at IndyCar's next-generation IR-28 chassis on Friday. The new car is set to complete its first on-track laps during two days of initial testing on the 2.439-mile, 14-turn Indianapolis Motor Speedway road course.

Driving duties for the maiden rollout will be split among several drivers, with the testing period serving as a critical evaluation phase for the clean-sheet design that aims to revolutionize the IndyCar series. betsport.cv
