Jerod Mayo, who was fired after a 4-13 season as Patriots head coach in 2024, has confirmed his return to the business world via LinkedIn. The 40-year-old former first-round pick took a position as managing director at Fifth Down Capital, a private equity and business capital firm.
This marks Mayo's second departure from football. Between his playing career and coaching stint, Mayo worked as V.P. of business development at Optum, a healthcare services company. While he could theoretically return to coaching in the future, Mayo appears to be focusing on business for now. forumteam.blog
