After trading receiver A.J. Brown to the New England Patriots for a 2028 first-round pick and a 2027 fifth-round pick, Eagles GM Howie Roseman explained his team's philosophy on future draft selections.
"We've always been in the mindset a pick is a pick — a first-round pick is a first-round pick," Roseman said. "Doesn't matter. Teams are still going to be playing football in 2028." While many teams value future first-round picks as roughly equivalent to current second-round selections, the Eagles appear willing to wait for potentially higher value in 2028 if the Patriots struggle in 2027. catcrossgame.com
