Bears sign DB Sewell, place Garvin on IR

Chicago Bears made roster moves on Tuesday, signing defensive back Marlen Sewell to replace Jonathan Garvin on the active roster. Garvin was placed on injured reserve. chickenroad-game.rodeo

Sewell, an undrafted rookie out of Vanderbilt, was previously with the Chiefs but released in June. He had 52 tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss, a half-sack and two passes defensed for the Commodores last season. Garvin played in 38 games for the Packers between 2020 and 2022 but hasn't appeared in a game over the last three seasons.
