The New York Giants are signing WR Braxton Berrios to their 53-man roster, elevating him from the practice squad where he has served as the team's returner.

Berrios has averaged 6.0 yards per punt return and 27.6 yards per kick return in the first three weeks of the season. According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Giants needed to sign him to the active roster to continue utilizing him in that role.

In eight seasons with the Jets, Dolphins, Texans, and Giants, Berrios has appeared in 94 games with six starts, catching 140 passes for 1,360 yards with six touchdowns. The signing comes as Odell Beckham Jr. is reportedly on his way out of New York. esporist.org
