Dolphins Sign RB Washington, Elevate DL Smith

Published October 3, 2026 · Updated October 3, 2026 · NBC Sports

The Miami Dolphins have signed running back Carlos Washington off the practice squad and elevated defensive lineman Mazi Smith for Sunday's game against the Vikings.

The Dolphins announced the signing of Washington on Saturday, adding depth to a backfield that lost De'Von Achane for the season to a torn ACL. Washington played in two games for the Falcons over the last two seasons and signed with Miami in May.

Additionally, Miami elevated Smith, a 2023 Cowboys first-round pick who joined the Dolphins last month, along with defensive end Rodney McGraw who signed with the team after going undrafted. fishroad-app.com
