Braves place Acuña Jr. on 10-day IL with hamstring strain

The Atlanta Braves have placed star right fielder Ronald Acuña Jr. on the 10-day injured list due to a strained left hamstring.

Acuña left Saturday night's game against Colorado in the second inning after pulling up while running out a ground ball. The five-time All-Star and 2023 NL MVP is batting .252 with two home runs, nine RBIs, and seven steals in 34 games this season. afsport.lat

The Braves, who own MLB's best record at 24-10, activated right-hander Spencer Strider from the injured list to make his season debut after a strained oblique. They optioned Hunter Stratton to Triple-A and called up outfielder José Azócar to replace Acuña.
