Former New England Patriots wide receiver Stefon Diggs was found not guilty of strangulation and assault charges on May 5, clearing the path for a potential return to the NFL.

Attorney Mitchell Schuster stated that teams were 'reluctant' to sign Diggs due to the false allegations hanging over his head. Schuster believes the 32-year-old four-time Pro Bowler will be signed 'imminently' now that he is vindicated.

Diggs has been a free agent since March 11. His legal team is pleased he intends to continue his career, hinting that a deal could come during OTAs. palladian.co.za
