Mexican Del Toro Wins Tour de France Stage 2

Mexican debutant Isaac del Toro claimed victory in stage two of the Tour de France 2026 in Catalonia.

The 168.5km stage from Tarragona to Barcelona saw Del Toro make an impressive start to his Tour debut. Lotto Intermarché rider Baptiste Veistroffer briefly faced difficulties when the peloton slowed for a "nature break" during the 141km mark. The three breakaway leaders maintained a lead of 3 minutes and 20 seconds at that point.
