Monaco will tomorrow become the first city to host the opening stage of all three Grand Tours as La Vuelta begins with an individual time trial.

Following the Giro d'Italia 1966 and Tour de France 2009, Monaco now hosts La Vuelta's start, featuring an extremely mountainous course that has attracted five-time Tour winner Tadej Pogacar.
