Rodri Backs City Despite Financial Rule Verdict

Barcelona midfielder Rodri has defended Manchester City's innocence despite reports they have been found guilty of breaching Premier League financial rules. The former City player believes in his former club's innocence, stating: "We have faced something similar back in 2020, we had a similar judicial process. Different accusation but similar process." zeppelin.cool

Rodri's comments come as Manchester City faces potential consequences following the verdict, which could include points deductions or fines. The club has not yet officially responded to the allegations, but Rodri's public support indicates the players remain confident in their position.

Wharfie Time backfires as Lions kick four goals in final four minutes

The Brisbane Lions secured a historic third-straight AFL premiership, defeating Fremantle 14.12 (96) to 12.17 (89) at the MCG. In a barely believable grand final, the defending premiers ended with a four-goal spree in the final four minutes, including the final two from Logan Morris, that followed the Dockers’ Wharfie Time activation.

At that stage Fremantle led by 17 points, but from there the Dockers appeared stationary. Brisbane finished like a freight train on an afternoon that began with Kylie Minogue’s sparkling performance that featured The Loco-Motion. It was only the second time since 1981 that a team has won the grand final after trailing at three-quarter-time, following Geelong’s comeback over St Kilda in 2009.

‘He’s cost us the biggest fight in boxing history’

Tyson Fury insists his blockbuster showdown with Anthony Joshua is in doubt because of a feud between rival promoters Eddie Hearn and Dana White.

The standout British heavyweights of their generation have agreed to fight in Cardiff on 11 December and are scheduled to face off at a press conference in London on Wednesday. But shortly after the contest was announced last week, Hearn, the Matchroom Sport chair, disputed White’s involvement after the American UFC and Zuffa Boxing chief was officially named as a promoter alongside The Ring, which is owned by the Saudi Arabian powerbroker Turki Alalshikh.
