Solbakken shields Haaland from press

Norway national team coach Ståle Solbakken confirmed he was involved in the decision to keep Erling Braut Haaland from attending Saturday's press conference at Ullevaal Stadium. The change in plans came after Manchester City, Haaland's club, was found guilty of numerous violations.

"It has nothing to do with the Nations League," Solbakken stated, emphasizing that the decision was made to give Haaland the best possible conditions to concentrate on the match. Despite the City news, Solbakken confirmed that Haaland will start in the important Nations League encounter against Portugal on home soil. afrikasportnews.co.za
