Ronaldo's Bold Ballon d'Or Claim

Cristiano Ronaldo, then 23 years old, made headlines by declaring he "to be honest" deserved the Ballon d'Or, stating "I have been the best and most consistent." This assertion came after a stellar season where he scored 42 goals in 49 matches for Manchester United, helping the team win both the Premier League and Champions League while becoming the top scorer in both competitions. He also clinched the European Golden Boot that season. sportbet.rodeo
