USA Beats Chile 4-2 in Exhibition Match

The US men's national team defeated Chile 4-2 in St. Louis, with Mathis Albert becoming the youngest scorer in program history.

The Stars and Stripes bounced back from conceding first to secure a 4-2 victory over Chile in an exhibition match on Tuesday. Teenage striker Julian Hall scored the equalizer less than three minutes after Chile took the lead through Maximiliano Gutiérrez's long-range strike. Chris Richards nodded home a Sebastian Berhalter corner kick to help seal the win, while Berhalter himself had opened the scoring late in the first half after being set up by Sergiño Dest. sos-zagle.org.pl

Mathis Albert added the exclamation point deep into second half stoppage time, becoming the youngest scorer in program history at 17 years, four months and eight days old, breaking Christian Pulisic's decade-old record. The USA will face their rival Mexico on Saturday in Glendale, Arizona, before closing this FIFA window against Canada next week.
